North Ship & Ocean Engineering Co.,Ltd (abbr.NSO) was established in 1993, started with thickness-gauging business. Now it has become one of the largest companies of thickness gauging nationwide.

Since 1996, by making full use of the advantages and a large number of professional talents in ship-repairing, the company has gained rich experience of M&R and salvaging, and has become the main strength in the M&R of ocean vessels in domestic anchor stations and harbors.

In 1998, the company has been approved by DNV&.ISO9001, which made its development concept clearer and encouraged the company to put M&R for domestic and foreign vessels as well as non-destructive test (NTD) in the first place of the company's development.

By the year 1999, the company had obtained the certificates for thickness-gauging issued by world-class shipping societies, such as ABS、BV、CCS、GL、KR、LR、NK、DNV、IRS、and RINA & RS, and had successfully carried out thickness gauging for more than 1500 vessels.

By 2000, we have had more than 100 experienced Chief Engineers, Engineers, Electric Engineers and professional thickness-gauging engineers who graduated from Dalian Maritime University of China, Harbin Institute of Technology, Wuhan Science & Technology University and other relevant shipping engineering institutes, who have supplied annual or voyage repair for about 1,000 vessels. What's more, most of our engineers and technicians possess seaman certificates and hence could work along the voyage as requested by the owners.

NSO has grown up out of a poly-operation organization specializing in ship's repair and supply of equipment or spare parts used for vessels,now bends itself to the safety of ocean ships all over the world and the control of the maritime pollution caused by ships. We are devoting ourselves into equiping qualified automation control system for ships. Simultaneously,we could supply services of agent ,international transportation,equipment installation,exploiture & manufacture of maritme products and other industries.

NSO has developed from a multiplex company specialized in ship's M&R, equipment-supply and spare parts for vessels. Now we contribute fully to the safety of ocean ships and the control of the maritime pollution all over the world, and devote ourselves to equipping qualified automation control system for ships. Along with high-quality services: M&R, the spare parts supply for the customer, etc, we can also provide services for shipping agencies, transportation, equipment installation, R&D of maritime products and so on.

With it headquarters in Qingdao, NSO has set up offices in Dalian, Guangzhou, Nantong, Shanghai, Shanhaiguan, Shenzhen, etc, and has set up 5 subsidiary companies: Qingdao Fairway Shipping Agency Co.,Ltd, Fairway International Forwarding Co.,Ltd, Bio Biology Co.,Ltd, Headway Technology Co.,Ltd. & Qingdao Baway Real Estate Management Co.,Ltd.
